Aid First: Navigating Mental Health & Grief Support Together

Aid First: Navigating Mental Health & Grief Support Together

Mental health isn't one-size-fits-all. Some days you might feel burnt out, stressed, or lost in grief. Other days, things might feel much heavier. Wherever you are on your journey, finding help shouldn't feel like taking on a second job.

At Dee Faye's Let's Talk Foundation, our Aid First initiative is designed to provide low-barrier access to a full continuum of care. We cut through the administrative noise to listen without judgment, assess what you need, and facilitate direct warm hand-offs to the right care providers.

How Aid First Works

1

Immediate, Human Listening

When you reach out through our Request Information form, call 800-570-3642, or send an email, you won't get a cold, automated system. You get a real human being dedicated to early intervention providing immediate comfort, validating your experience, and giving you a safe space to breathe.

2

Meeting You Across the Full Continuum of Care

You don't need to be in a severe crisis to ask for support. We meet individuals and families at every level of need:

  • Preventative & Mental Wellness Simple check-ins, tools, and community resources to manage everyday stress, anxiety, or life transitions.
  • Trauma-Informed Postvention & Bereavement Gentle, specialized care and support for families navigating loss, particularly following a suicide.
  • Targeted Clinical Connections Matching you with licensed therapists, community clinics, or specialized care groups for ongoing treatment.
3

Care Coordination & Warm Hand-Offs

We don't just hand you a cold list of phone numbers. Our team actively coordinates care across our vetted provider network to match you with a therapist or specialist who fits your personal background, location, and needs. We assist with the initial introduction performing a true warm hand-off so you never feel passed around or forgotten.

4

Removing Systemic Barriers

Navigating intake forms, clinic waitlists, and insurance when you're already exhausted is overwhelming. We walk through those first steps with you, simplifying the process so you don't have to tackle the behavioral health system alone.

5

Wrap-Around Family Support

Mental health challenges affect entire households. Beyond individual care, we offer resources, peer support connections, and practical tools that help families open up, build mental health literacy, and heal together.

How donor & grant funding powers Aid First
